JobDocs
Draft - for Eddie's sign-off. Version draft-2026-11-04. Not yet in use with real clients.

How we handle reviews

When a business finishes your job, it sends you one link to your documents. On that page we may ask how the job went. This is how that works, and the promises we keep.

Everyone is asked the same way

Every job is asked by a fixed rule. The business does not pick who to ask. It can switch the question off for a job only for a listed reason - you asked not to be contacted, or it is a repeat visit on the same job - and each time is recorded.

The same Google button for everyone

Whatever you tap, one star or five, you see the same "Review us on Google" button with the same words. We never send only happy clients to Google.

Your stars, your words

Nothing is written for you. Tapping the Google button only copies the business's name, so you can find it. On Google you choose your own stars and write your own words, or nothing at all.

Your documents are yours

Depending on the business's setting, your documents open after one tap on a star or Skip - Skip is always there - or straight away. They are never held back for a good rating.

No rewards

No discounts, gifts or anything else are offered for a rating or a review.

Low ratings

If you rate 3 stars or below, the business is told privately so it can put things right. It is never asked to stop you posting, and you are free to post on Google whatever you choose.

Ratings are never changed

Once saved, a rating cannot be edited or deleted by anyone - not the business, not JobDocs.

Who sees your rating

  • The business that did your job: its owner, and staff the owner allows.
  • Smart Solutions Bristol Ltd (company 16203244), which runs JobDocs, to check the service works properly.

Ratings are not published. A business's website badge, if it has one, shows only its public Google rating.
